Prefabbed, Mrs Panks' shop sold strawberry sherbet,
chocolate drops;
'thre'punnce my love'
and 'wha' yew got'
sugar mice: and bounty

Whilst, at the docks, with wood beladen
Baltic ships hove into sight.
As back ditch rats,
in North End yards,
 gnaw out the coal in dead of night.

Gather all the scattered marbles
climb steep stairs and roll them down;
hold mum's hand
round Tuesday market
next week the Mart rolls into town.
