Did you get the bat signal? It went out at between 9pm and 3am on Thursday night, Friday morning. The technique isn’t perfect. The Lear Foundation can only do so much to prime people.
Luckily for the nihilists, intent on using the issue of Brexit to replay Ukraine, or to cover up what they did in Ukraine (and elsewhere): Usman Khan reacted.
Speaking of propaganda, welcome to the Guardian.
Did you know… “Countries from Siberia to Australia are burning”.
No really… go and look out of the window… can’t you see the sky dark with smoke?
“ On any day, between 10,000 and 30,000 bushfires burn around the planet.”
Yeah
we had one of those last summer. Someone was careless with a bar-b-que,
and the gorse set light. It was really quite bad. In fact the sky did
get a bit smokey. It took three fire engines to bring it under control. I
can only imagine the environmental destruction 10,000 poorly tended
bar-b-ques might do.
If
you read the piece in the Guardian, you will perhaps work out why this
madness needs kids to walk out of school once a week. It they were
learning things they might look at the statement…
“
It isn’t just fires. It’s the incessant knell of unnatural (human-fed)
disasters: droughts, floods, vanishing rivers, lakes and glaciers and
the rise in billion-dollar weather impacts.”
… and go… I heard about some flooding on the news at a place called Fishlake.
It
gets even more bizarre, if you type “River Don” into Bing, it brings up
on the right of the screen a box: that outlines the obligatory
Wikipedia (which never lies), and offers a synopsis of the article (so you don’t have to read the Wikipedia). The object is to cram as much information into the least amount of learning. The info dump, then gives a synopsis of the Wikipedia entry…
“ The
River Don is a river in South Yorkshire and the East Riding of
Yorkshire, England. It rises in the Pennines and flows for 70 miles
eastwards, through the Don Valley… blah, blah, blah… It
originally joined the Trent, but was re-engineered by Cornelius
Vermuyden as the Dutch River in the 1620s, and now joins the River Ouse
at Goole.”
If you want to get conspiratorial, “ Don Valley is the local UK parliamentary constituency near the Doncaster stretch of the river.” But we don’t.
We’ll leave that to crackpots like Jeremy Corbyn and his anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that “ a think tank staffed predominantly by Jewish Americans, ‘The Project for a New American Century’ for wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.” It’s pure anti-Semitic bile to notice that Victoria (donuts, fuck the EU) Nuland is married to Robert Kagan, co-founder of the project for the New American Century.
But
let’s continue on, like your average secondary school pupil, trying to
transfer as much information from our browser to our Word document while
we multi-task watching Pew-Dee-Pie on utube Love Island on TV, chatting
with Chardonnay online, while we wait for the call from Bullyhunters.
And let us look at what cities there are on the River Don, according to the info-box…. Fishlake, Sheffield, Doncaster…. and so on.
Yes
I know that if I hover over the name Fishlake, a text-box will appear
that informs me Fishlake is a village of 628 people within the Doncaster
Metropolitan area. But Chardonnay is trying bathsalts and is freaking
out on Skype, and I don’t really care because I am having a half day off
school to protest at the way cities like…. where was it again?… oh
yeah…. cities like Fishlake are being devastated by Climate Change.
Oh
and now Brent, who is really sexy in a pan-sexual kind of way, is
saying that we should do something about it. Because I am really worried about Trump.
And if we don’t do something then Trump will win the election in
Doncaster. We only have ten minutes to save the NHS. And Brent says we
must help Ursula von der Leyden keep her seat in Doncaster.
Oh my God, Chardonnay’s been sick.
Let’s have a look at something: Kelda Group.
No not that… this… Global Citizen, a nice piece written by Joe McCarthy (no really), but it doesn’t come cheap. How do they fund their activities?
