#poem #poetry #amwriting #micropoetry

I've been scribbling again...

Poems in 140 characters or less...

....

today the mannigham strip was closed
supply lorries backed up westgate
from the lumb lane check point
toys r us was shut

....

more important than
a sticker for good reading
chocolate pudding and custard
-playing in the big playground
with my big brother

....

only later did they find
I had not committed half the crimes
and recommended that I wear
gloves - when handling suspects hair

.....

they buried the turd in leicester
after they'd dug him up
boar him once last time around the town
then covered him in muck

....

dressed as a seventies pensioner
as if all her life she has prepared
- heavy boucle tartan cerise -
in advance of a world not spared

...

still the leaves deny us
still winter grey shades
the skeleton waits for modesty

....

methodist and town hall clock
dueling at midnight
two bells apart
- only bathroom lights -
it's a pretty town

....

peace:)
